The author is delighted about dissemination of her work on this project, but would love to know - concerning the use/reproduction of any original work by the author, please contact Gabriel Stanford.

We have taken a legal opinion which considers that the inclusion of the various short extracts from newspapers, books, etc. in the course of ‘The Human Genome: Poems on the Book of Life’ constitutes ‘Fair use’. Their use is deemed acceptable under the terms of fair dealing, being that the quoted material is justified for the purposes of this project, and no more than is necessary is included; and that that the source of the quoted material is mentioned, along with the name of the author.

However, where longer or more frequent extracts have been incorporated, we are endeavouring to contact those individuals or publishers – with 1000 pages of the project, we hope that any such will remain patient in this respect. If any of the aforementioned feel they would like to discuss any matter or do not wish any extract to be included where permission has not yet been sought, contact us.

Every effort has been made by the author to correctly reproduce, source and attribute accurately, all extracts included over the 1000 pages of the manuscript; however, as a significant number were gathered by hand-writing, over the course of four years, she asks you forgive any minor textual errors; or suggest a correction.
